By train

This is the easiest way to reach Paris, since the main stations (Gare de l'Est, Gare de Lyon … Gare du Nord) are located in the city centre. There are multiple daily international connections to Paris from Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
For example:

  • 1 h 30 from Brussels
  • 2 h 30 from London
  • 3 h 30 from Amsterdam
  • 3 h from Geneva, 4 h from Zürich
  • 4 h from Frankfurt/Main, 5 h 30 from Munich, 8 h from Berlin or Hamburg
  • 6 h 30 from Barcelona
  • 7 h from Milano

You may use any train booking website such as Trainline.

By plane

  • If you land at the Roissy–Charles-de-Gaulle airport, you can directly travel to anywhere in Paris by using the RER (sub-urban train) line B. You can also take a dedicated bus (Roissybus), but you will then need a new ticket to travel further.
Taking regular bus lines is not recommended (the travel to Paris can be very slow).
Alternatively, there are multiple taxi stations in front of the exits from airport terminals.

  • If you land at the Orly airport, you can take a dedicated bus (Orlybus) or train (Orlyval). You will then need a new ticket to travel further.
Taking the tramway is not recommended (the travel to Paris can be very slow).
